The problem to solve

Informalcode is a young startup that has only recently launched and has completed a handful of projects. The company, which is still in its early stages, is getting ready to launch its own website. In an effort to highlight the range of services it provides to the community, Informalcode is constantly searching for new and fresh design for its website that captures the spirit of what it has to offer.

Solution to the problem

Recognizing the need for a sleek and modern touch, opting for a minimalistic style for the landing page seems like the way to go. Yet, before diving into the design process, certain key factors are taken into account:

Service showcase

There are services provided by Informalcode, hence they are to be displayed on the landing page for the users to know.

Project showcase

Even though there are only few projects completed, to keep section in the site to show a glimpse of of completed projects, because clients would get in touch with a startup only if they see the designs or projects they have done.

Design Exploration

It is considered to keep the designs black & white to match the organization theme style. The initial design exploration focuses on the hero section of the landing page, carefully crafted to align seamlessly with our established theme and style. A total of four unique hero sections have been designed in accordance with this aesthetic vision.

Frame cursor hero section

This unique startup hero section has a headline enclosed in a frame-like container, and a cursor effect is added, with both dark and light versions.

However, as a designer, it's important to think practically. The design works well with some padding on a regular screen, but it doesn't look good on smaller mobile screens. Because of this issue, this hero section is not further considered for the landing page design.

Classic minimalist

In the second iteration of the hero section, the framer and the cursor is removed and simple minimalistic design is completed. Among both of above light and dark mode, light mode is selected for the landing page with discussion.
